LG unveiled Essential Series for India: refrigerator, washing machine, air conditioner and oven

LG Electronics India Ltd. announced the launch of a new range of home appliances LG Essential Series, based on lifestyle research of Indian families. This is the company’s first major consumer project after LGEIL went public. The series symbolizes LG’s renewed focus on the Indian market under the campaign slogan “Har Ghar Appliances, Har Ghar Happiness” – “Appliances to every home, Happiness to every home.”
Made in India and for India
The development of the range was based on a survey of over 1200 families across the country. It is based on the principles of Made in India and Made for India: the devices are designed to suit local climate and living conditions, combining performance, reliability and practicality at an affordable price.
The series includes four main products:- double-door refrigerator;- fully automatic top-loading washing machine;- room air conditioner;- combi oven with convection function.
Double Door Refrigerator
The model features Frost-Free technology, eliminating the need for manual defrosting. The Smart Mode automatically adjusts cooling according to the season, and the vegetable bin has been increased by 20% compared to previous models – great for families who buy food in bulk.
Fully Automatic Top Load Washing Machine
Built keeping in mind the dust, humidity and low water pressure common in many parts of India. The Low Pressure Fill technology ensures quality washing even at low pressure. The ProShield motor with protective housing BMC (Bulk Moulding Compound) prevents dust and insects, while the control panel with IPX4 certification is resistant to moisture.
Room Air Conditioner
The air conditioner features Energy Manager+ and “You decide your bill”, allowing the user to control energy consumption independently. The Diet Mode+ regulates cooling and airflow for optimum comfort and economy. The model is designed for bedrooms and small offices.
Convertible Oven
The oven supports Auto Cook programs tailored to Indian cuisine – for dishes like ghee, paneer and dal. There are also Air Fry and Convection modes for healthier and more versatile cooking.
Price and affordability
Sales of the LG Essential Series will start across India in November 2025. Prices start at around ₹18,000 for the base models. The devices will be available at LG branded stores, multi-brand chains and leading online platforms.
