Additionally, Crowe or Phoenix may have filmed a secret cameo for the flashback, but nothing has been reported about their involvement.

First reviews of “Gladiator 2” after test screening are good

According to Jordan Ruimi of World of Reel, the movie “Gladiator 2” was screened in Las Vegas on April 24. Initial reviews of the 2-hour and 40-minute versions of the movie were “good,” and Washington and Nielson were named the top two actors. Ruimi’s report also states that Pascal plays Mescal’s stepfather. When Pascal’s character goes to battle, the wife and mother of Mescal’s character are killed. Ruimy’s source said that the movie looks “almost done” with only a few edits left to be made. The gladiator scenes were “very interesting”, similar to the stunning fight scenes in “Gladiator”.
