Xiaomi stops support for popular Mi and Poco smartphones

Xiaomi has decided to “say goodbye” to its four popular smartphones: the company has stopped support for the popular Mi and Poco smartphones. The Poco X3, Poco X3 NFC, Xiaomi Mi 10T and Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro devices are moving to the EOL (End of Life) category.

These smartphones will no longer receive MIUI updates, as well as Android updates and Google security patches. In total, the list of devices that Xiaomi has dropped support for includes 73 Mi products, 88 Redmi products, and 9 POCO products. This doesn’t mean that the devices are immediately unusable, but without fresh security updates, the risk of becoming a victim of malicious hackers increases, and experience shows that unsupported devices start to “glitch” after about a year.
