Fujifilm X half may come in white color – first images have appeared
The first images of the Fujifilm X half compact camera in a new, white color scheme have surfaced online. According to FujiRumors, the company is preparing the release of this version, while PetaPixel specifies that the white variant is currently planned to be launched only for the Chinese market. There’s no information about the possible release of the model in other regions.
The Fujifilm X half is now available in silver, dark gray, and black. The white version combines a light body with gray synthetic leather, making the already unconventional camera even more distinctive in appearance. A branded white leather case is also expected, while the device’s specs are likely to remain unchanged.

The Fujifilm X half stands out from other compact cameras with its unusual approach. It features an 18-megapixel, 1-inch sensor mounted in portrait orientation — as well as a 2.4-inch touchscreen display. This solution refers to classic half-frame film cameras, while at the same time targeting users accustomed to vertical shooting on smartphones.
The camera has a 1-inch sensor and a 2.4-inch touchscreen display, as well as a 2.4-inch touchscreen display.
The camera also gets an optical viewfinder that enhances the «analog» shooting experience. Autofocus and automatic exposure selection are supported, but the user can manually correct for underexposure or overexposure using a separate dial. The current film simulation mode is shown on the optional capsule-shaped display.

The Fujifilm X half lens has an equivalent focal length of 32mm and a maximum aperture of f/2.8. Because of its relatively small aperture, the camera is likely to be inferior to modern smartphones when shooting in low-light conditions. Instead, Fujifilm is banking on a unique user experience, including a special «film mode» in which pictures can only be viewed after a virtual roll of film has been fully «shot».”
