Realme Neo 8 will be released on January 22: everything we know about the smartphone

Realme has officially confirmed the presentation date of the Neo 8 smartphone for the Chinese market – the novelty will be shown on January 22. The device aims to compete with the iQOO Z11 Turbo and OnePlus Ace 6T and relies on a flagship processor, a large battery and an advanced camera.
Realme Neo 8 is positioned as a performance smartphone with a focus on screen, battery life and photo capabilities. All the key specifications of the device have already been revealed in leaks and certification bases.
Screen and software platform
The smartphone will get a custom 6.78-inch M14 AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution. The refresh rate will be 165Hz and peak brightness is expected to reach 6,500 nits. Such parameters are oriented both for gaming and for using the device in bright light.
Out of the box, the Realme Neo 8 will run Realme UI 7 based on Android 16. Expect a full suite of proprietary shell features, including performance optimizations and advanced personalization options.
Performance and memory
The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, which is the same for all major competitors in this segment. TENAA certification indicates configurations with up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage, making the Neo 8 one of the best-equipped devices in its class.
A 8,000mAh battery is responsible for battery life. 80W fast charging is supported, which should compensate for the size of the battery and reduce the time it takes to plug in.
Cameras and Design
The Realme Neo 8’s main camera includes three modules. The 50-megapixel main sensor is equipped with optical stabilization. It’s complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 50-megapixel periscopic camera with triple optical zoom.
The rear panel also features Halo’s signature Awakening RGB backlighting, already familiar from previous models in the Neo lineup. The front camera will have a 16-megapixel sensor.
Additional Features
The smartphone will feature an ultrasonic under-screen fingerprint scanner, an infrared port for controlling tech, a metal frame, and a glass back panel. IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance is claimed.
