PlayStation celebrates 30th anniversary with a collector’s watch in collaboration with ANICORN
Sony PlayStation has teamed up with watch brand ANICORN to celebrate its 30th anniversary with a special watch collection. This isn’t your typical gaming merch — the watches are designed as an item to be worn, collected and kept for years to come.
Sony PlayStation has teamed up with ANICORN to celebrate its 30th anniversary with a special collection of watches.
The key release is the First PlayStation Limited Edition Mechanical Watch. The edition is limited to just 300 pieces worldwide, immediately making the watch a rare collector’s item. For fans of the brand, this is especially important as the PlayStation story is embodied in a physical and personal format.

The design is inspired by the original PS1 console. The dial uses embossed △〇×□ characters, while the shape of the hands references the Start and Select buttons. These elements are a neat reminder of the first PlayStation without making the look overly flashy.
The case shape and matte gray finish also echo the PS1’s industrial design. Even the back of the watch is inspired by the console’s optical drive, which adds extra meaning for longtime fans of the brand.

In addition to the mechanical model, PlayStation and ANICORN are releasing two more quartz versions of the Play Symbol. The Dark Mode and Light Mode variants are less expensive and feature «floating» symbols that move while the watch is being worn.
As a whole, the collection emphasizes that PlayStation has long since moved beyond being solely a gaming platform. The brand is increasingly becoming part of the lifestyle and collectible culture. Sales of the watch will launch on December 19, 2025 exclusively on ANICORN, and prices will range from $250 to $780.
