Huawei will unveil the Mate XTs triple foldable smartphone on September 4

Huawei has officially announced new product launches on September 4. The main event will be the debut of the next-generation triple-folding flagship smartphone, the Huawei Mate XTs. According to Chinese insiders, the device will get serious improvements in performance, cameras and design, as well as an interesting pricing strategy.
The upcoming Huawei Mate XTs Extraordinary Master will be the brand’s second triple folding smartphone. According to Digital Chat Station, it will retain its predecessor’s design and come in two new colors: white and magenta-alloy, with white being the primary color for promotional materials.

In terms of hardware, the Mate XTs will be powered by the Kirin 9020 chipset, also used in Huawei’s Pura 80 lineup. The processor has a 1+3+4 core layout and is complemented by Maleoon 920 graphics. The smartphone also supports satellite connectivity.
Huawei has improved the hinge technology by introducing the Tiangong Hinge System, which offers increased durability and better protection against screen creases. On the camera side, the smartphone will get a 50 MP main sensor with variable aperture and support for the Red Maple feature. It also adds a periscopic telephoto lens for improved zoom.
The Mate XTs is also rumored to support stylus operation. The previous Mate XT model sold more than 500,000 units and generated revenue of 12.54 billion yuan (about $1.73 billion). Experts believe that the updated version could bring sales closer to the 1 million mark. The price is expected to start at 15,000 yuan (~$2060), down from its predecessor’s starting price of 19,999 yuan (~$2750).
