Xiaomi 14 Ultra gets HyperOS 2.2 update in India

Xiaomi has started rolling out the global HyperOS 2.2 update, and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra flagship smartphone is the first to receive it in India. The update has been released as 2.0.201.0.VNAINXM and is 1.3GB in size. The bundle includes the June 2025 Android security update.
UI and animation improvements
HyperOS 2.2 brings a lot of optimizations. These include fixes for animation issues when navigating to subpages, switching or closing apps in horizontal mode. App launch glitches, graphical artifacts, and gesture crashes have been fixed. Improved scrolling smoothness in third-party news feeds.
Wallpaper blur effect is now supported on the desktop. The full-screen indicator has gotten more expressive visuals and is less likely to accidentally activate the XiaoAi Assistant. Some classic pages have been redesigned and app launch animations have been sped up.

Lock screen and camera: more customization
The lock screen has received new oriental-inspired templates, a “lenticular” wallpaper, and enhanced shortcode customization. You can now flexibly customize the look and feel of the lock screen to your liking.
The camera app has been completely redesigned with a cleaner, more professional interface. Function and settings menus have been streamlined, and the watermark can now be placed in any corner of the frame.
Improvements to settings and accessibility
The settings section now has a shortcut to control the navigation system directly from the home screen. Some icons in the status bar can now be changed manually.
The update also addresses accessibility issues by fixing crashes when using gestures and volume buttons in TalkBack mode, and returning audio prompts in Calendar, Contacts, Control Center, and other apps.
The update is already available to Xiaomi 14 Ultra owners in India. It will soon be rolled out in other markets as well.
