Samsung has announced a new ruggedized Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro tablet aimed at enterprise customers and frontline employees. Samsung has announced the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro, a new ruggedized tablet for the enterprise.
Price and affordability
Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro will be available in two configurations: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. You can also choose between versions with and without cellular support (Wi-Fi + 5G) (Wi-Fi only). The model without 5G with 6/128GB is priced at €809 ($920). Sales will start in early June, but regions are not yet specified.
Durability and protection
The new tablet is even more rugged, with a rubber-coated, IP68 water and dust resistant case that can withstand immersion up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes. The display is also covered by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+, a significant step up from Gorilla Glass 5 on previous models.

Screen and performance
Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro gets a 10.1-inch LCD display with WUXGA resolution (1920×1200 pixels) and 120Hz refresh rate. Compared to the Tab Active 4 Pro (60Hz) and the smaller screen on the Tab Active 5, this is a marked improvement in both smoothness and usability.
Inside is the latest Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip, built on a 3nm process. It offers better performance and power efficiency than the previous Snapdragon 778G and Exynos 1380 processors used previously. The tablet runs on Android 15 with One UI 7.0 and supports AI-enabled features like Circle to Search, Object Eraser, AI Select and Read Aloud.
Cameras and Sound
The rear side features a 12MP camera with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash, while the front has an 8MP sensor. Although the resolution of the main camera has been reduced from 13MP to 12MP, a more modern sensor is used, providing better quality footage. Sound is provided by Dolby Atmos-enabled stereo speakers.
Autonomy and hot-swappable batteries
The Tab Active 5 Pro’s main draw is its two user-replaceable batteries with a total capacity of 10,100 mAh. They’re hot-swappable, so you don’t have to turn the device off when changing the battery. This is especially important for working in the field. By comparison, the Tab Active 4 Pro has a 7,600 mAh battery and the Tab Active 5 has just 5,050 mAh.
Connectivity and security
The tablet supports 5G (sub-6GHz), Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4 and dual-SIM (physical + eSIM) operation. USB-C 3.2, 3.5mm audio jack and a full navigation system (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, etc.) are also present.
In terms of security, there’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Samsung Knox, Knox Vault, and eSE. All of this makes this tablet a reliable device for business.
Physical button and S-Pen included
Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro comes with an S-Pen stylus, which is handy for signing documents and entering data. There’s also a programmable Active Key, a physical button that can be assigned to launch desired apps or functions.
