HP announced a new version of the Omen 16 Slim gaming laptop

HP has introduced an updated version of its Omen 16 gaming laptop, the Omen 16 Slim. The notebook features improved compactness and performance while retaining all the key features of its predecessor.

Slim and lightweight design

Omen 16 Slim is 16% thinner than the standard version. The notebook is only 19.9mm thick to 22.7mm when closed, making it comfortable for mobile users. At the same time, its weight is 5.35 lbs (2.43 kg), making the device lighter and easier to transport compared to heavier gaming laptops.

Powerful stuffing

For high performance, the Omen 16 Slim is equipped with a NVIDIA RTX 5070 graphics card (other graphics cards are expected in cheaper configurations). The processor used is Intel Arrow Lake, with a range from Core Ultra 5 225H to Core Ultra 9 285H. Depending on the configuration, the laptop can be equipped with anywhere from 16 GB to 32 GB of RAM and will offer storage options with 512 GB or 1 TB SSD.

Display and ports

Omen 16 Slim offers a 16-inch display with a resolution of up to 2,560 x 1,600 pixels (cheaper configurations limit resolution to 1,920 x 1,200). The laptop also features a number of ports for connecting external devices, including 10Gbps USB-C, 10Gbps USB-A, two 5Gbps USB-A ports, RJ-45 Ethernet, a 3.5mm headphone/microphone jack, and one HDMI 2.1 port.
