AOC unveils 4K Mini LED gaming monitor Agon AG275UXM2 with peak brightness up to 1600 nits

AOC has launched a new gaming monitor featuring Mini LED backlighting and a 4K resolution. The Agon AG275UXM2 boasts 2,304 local dimming zones, a peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits in HDR mode, and 600 nits when displaying SDR content. It also comes equipped with a modern set of connectivity options.

The new Mini LED monitor debuted in AOC’s home market. Just over two months ago, the company introduced the Q27G4SMN model and released the Agon U27G4XM globally — a monitor with 1,152 Mini LED dimming zones aimed at competing with products like the Q27G3XMN.

Now, AOC is rolling out the Agon AG275UXM2, the successor to the older AG275UXM. This 27-inch display uses quantum dot Mini LED backlighting and doubles the local dimming zones to 2,304. Thanks to this upgrade, it offers a peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits in HDR and reaches 600 nits in standard SDR mode.

The monitor sports a native 4K panel with a 160Hz refresh rate and a 0.5ms response time (MPRT). When the resolution is lowered to 1080p, it can push refresh rates as high as 330Hz, with the response time dropping to an impressive 0.3ms.

As for connectivity, the Agon AG275UXM2 includes DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1 with 48 Gbps bandwidth, USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and a USB Type-C port that supports charging up to 65W. It also features a built-in KVM switch and an ergonomic stand for comfortable setup.

The monitor is already available in China for 3,999 yuan, roughly $475 USD. Details on a global release are still pending.
