Details are emerging about the upcoming Xiaomi 14 phone — it will retain its look but get a number of updates. Digital Chat Station previously reported that the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

The phone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

This generation will apparently also have up to 1TB of storage (the Model 13 had 512GB). Judging from the previous report, the base Xiaomi 14 will feature a 4,860mAh battery with 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The schematics of this phone show a familiar design with a square camera island located in the top left corner. This time, however, it will be split between four sensors rather than three.

According to DCS, the main camera will get an even larger sensor —50MP 1/1.28″ compared to 50MP 1/1.49″. It will be joined by a «medium-telephoto» camera, presumably with a standard lens like its predecessor (though it may offer more than the 13th’s 3.2x optical zoom). There’s no hint as to what the fourth sensor might be (the third — is, of course, an ultra-wide-angle camera).

Another hint.

Xiaomi traditionally launches its flagships at the end of the year, in part to coincide with the arrival of the next Snapdragon 8 chip, so the Xiaomi 14 and its family (there will be a Pro model, the Ultra may or may not arrive later) are still months away.
