To mark this significant milestone, development of the anniversary notebook began about a year ago. The lid of the device features Japan’s distinctive wooden kumiko ornament, created by talented local craftsman Kiyoshi Funaki.
The kumiko technique originated from window designs in ancient China and was introduced to Japan during the Tang Dynasty. Craftsmen use many small wooden pieces to create both repetitive and unique patterns that are mesmerizing with their individual visual style. This anniversary notebook in particular utilized about 5,800 pieces of wood from four different species, taking between two and three months to create.
Some 5,800 pieces of wood from four different species were used in this anniversary notebook.

In addition, the letters S, F and J on the keyboard on the other side of the laptop have wooden overlays symbolizing Shimane, Fujitsu and Japan respectively.
The Shimane Fujitsu anniversary notebook is based on the light and thin FMV Note C. Its regular version features an Intel processor from the «Meteor Lake-U» series, a 13.3-inch display with a resolution of 1920×1200 FHD+ and weighs about 1,187 grams.
The Note C is a slim and lightweight notebook, which weighs about 1,187 grams.
Shimane Fujitsu’s long-term goal is to reach the 100 million PCs produced mark by 2050.
