A sequel to The Troubleshooter game is in development

In April 2024, Cyberia Nova unveiled a historical action-RPG called The Troubles. While its success is anyone’s guess, the creators of the acclaimed action-RPG have already announced a sequel.
Developers reported that the next patch, which will be released on February 18 (today), will be the final patch for this historical game: it will add new voice acting and improve gameplay. The writers have even reworked the dialog to make the story more engaging and some side quests a bit more fun. But that’s not the most important news: producer Andrei Belov mentioned that the team has started working on “Distemper 2.”

“With this 14th patch we draw a line under our series of patches and improvements. In general, our entire team is already focused on working on the game’s sequel and on an educational project based on the materials of this sequel,” — said Andrey Belov.

Cyberia Nova head Alexei Koptsev said the studio will continue to release updates, though they probably won’t be as extensive.

“All the targets we set out to achieve have been achieved. We are ready to move on and will now focus on the promised continuation of the story, while not forgetting the technical support of our flagship product,” — said Alexey Koptsev.

It’s also worth recalling that last spring the studio announced the story add-on “Zemsky Sobor”. In the comments under the sequel announcement, an administrator of the game’s official VKontakte group confirmed that the DLC is still scheduled to launch in 2025.
