That’s a question we can’t answer because Sony has yet to announce any concrete details about «Venom 3». We don’t even know what characters will appear in the movie besides Eddie and Venom. What we can say, though, is that Hardy and Marcel collaborated on the story, just as they did for «Venom 2». That movie ended with Eddie Brock on the run after Venom helped him escape from prison. Their brief trip to the MCU in the scene after the credits temporarily interrupted that subplot. It’s likely «Venom 3» will pick up this narrative thread when Eddie and Venom return home, where they belong.

While the return of supporting actors from the first two films is not in doubt, none of them have been confirmed. Michelle Williams played Eddie’s former fiancée, Ann Weining, in the first two films, and Reed Scott portrayed Ann’s fiancé, Dan Lewis. Both Ann and Dan are well aware of Eddie’s dual identity as Venom and have been his allies in the previous two films.

In addition, Stephen Graham should be a strong contender for a return, as it was revealed in the previous movie that his character, Detective Patrick Mulligan, survived seemingly fatal injuries and was likely linked to another symbiote. Directly — no, as Sony’s Spider-Man universe and Marvel’s cinematic universe have long been separate worlds within the animated universe. However, Hardy’s cameo as Eddie Brock/Venom in «Spider-Man: No Way Home» literally left a piece of the Venom symbiote in the MCU when they returned to their world. This seems like preparation for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man getting closer to the symbiote in the future. But since Marvel Studios and Sony have yet to announce a new Spider-Man movie, we can only speculate as to when that will happen.

So far, we’re not sure when that will happen.

Not yet. Unlike many films interrupted by the writers’ and actors’ strike last year, «Venom 3» quickly resumed production in November 2023. With an October 2024 release date, «Venom: The Last Dance» will likely release a trailer in June or July. That way, Sony can launch it in theaters before one of its summer blockbusters.

«Venom: The Last Dance» will be released on October 25, 2024. Originally, the release date for «Venom 3» was scheduled for July 2024. However, due to strikes in Hollywood in 2023, Sony pushed back the film’s release date to November 8, 2024, and then pushed it back to October 2024.
