First look and live photos of iPhone Air: Apple’s thinnest and lightest smartphone ever

Apple has unveiled the new iPhone Air, the main feature of which is a record thin body and light weight. The device is just 5.6mm thick, with updated Ceramic Shield 2 glass and an A19 Pro processor.
Design and user experience
The model name speaks for itself: the iPhone Air does feel light and thin. Journalist Allison said that’s exactly the impression she got when she first saw the smartphone at the launch event.

The body is as thin as it looks in the official photos, and the rounded edges are reminiscent of the design of past iPhone generations. This profile makes the gadget comfortable in the hand and visually distinguishes it from flagship models.
Technical specifications

iPhone Air features a ProMotion display that delivers smooth refresh rates. There is a single camera on the back. Both glass covers are made with Ceramic Shield 2 technology, which should increase the device’s protection.
The smartphone is powered by the new A19 Pro processor, the same one found in the iPhone 17 Pro. It delivers high performance and energy efficiency while minimizing the thickness of the body.
