Samsung launches Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition for the Milan Winter Games

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games — about 3,800 athletes from 90 countries will receive the smartphone for free.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition features gold accents on the frame edges, hinge, and camera rings, paired with a blue rear panel.
Included in the package is a special case with a magnetic ring, Olympic-themed wallpapers, and preloaded apps designed specifically for athletes.
Samsung will provide each participant with an eSIM offering 100 GB of 5G data.
Design and symbolism of the Olympic Edition
For several years now, Samsung has released an Olympic edition of one of its flagship smartphones for nearly every Olympic Games, gifting it to all competing athletes. The company is continuing this tradition at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games with the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Samsung created the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition specifically for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games. The device will be distributed free to all athletes competing in both the Olympic and Paralympic events. According to Samsung, around 3,800 Olympians and Paralympians from 90 countries will take part in the competitions.
The side frames, hinge, and rear camera rings of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition are finished in gold, representing the athletes’ pursuit of excellence and their moments on the podium. The back panel is rendered in shades of blue that align with the unique style of Milano Cortina 2026, and features Samsung and Olympic branding. But these aren’t the only differences compared to the standard model.
Box contents and special features
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition comes in a specially designed box featuring branding for Samsung and the Olympic Games along with an image of the special edition phone. Inside the box, Samsung includes a case with a blue magnetic ring on the back panel that supports magnetic accessories and complements the phone’s overall look. The package also contains exclusive winter Olympic-themed wallpapers created specifically for Milano Cortina 2026.
Samsung has preinstalled several apps and services on the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition to support athletes throughout Milano Cortina 2026. These include the Olympic Games app, Athlete365, Pinquest, and an International Olympic Committee hotline. The Athlete365 app is integrated with the Galaxy AI Now Brief feature, which keeps athletes updated on the latest Olympic news at a glance via the FlexWindow. In addition, Samsung will provide the phone with an eSIM including 100 GB of 5G data.
