Renault has updated the budget crossover Kiger

The Renault has unveiled a restyled version of its subcompact crossover Kiger, based on the Nissan Magnite. The car received noticeable changes in the exterior, new materials in the interior and expanded equipment, while maintaining an affordable price.

What’s changed in the exterior

  • The radiator grille is now shifted down to the bottom of the bumper,
  • it is framed by a massive overlay with a “metal-like” finish,
  • in place of the former grille is a narrow decorative panel connecting the daytime running lights and bearing the updated Renault logo
  • for the first time there are seats for the fog lights.

The sides have new door moldings and a finned overlay on the rear pillars. In the top-end configuration, the crossover is equipped with 16-inch black-coated wheels with milled elements.

Interior and equipment

The interior trim materials have changed, and the console in the richer versions is now in light gray.

  • All models now come with six airbags, hill start assist and rear parking sensors
  • expensive versions get wireless charging, surround-view, ventilated front seats and Arkamys speakers.

Engines and transmission

  • atmospheric 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine with 72 hp,
  • turbocharged version of the same displacement with 100 hp

Transmissions – manual transmission, variator or “robot” depending on the engine.

Price

In India, the updated Renault Kiger costs from 630,000 rupees (approximately 600,000 rubles).
