Full-cycle production of Tenet T4 crossover started in Kaluga

The plant in Kaluga region has started production of the second model of the new brand Tenet – compact family crossover T4. The cars are assembled in a full cycle, including welding, painting and final assembly.
Family crossover based on Chery Tiggo 4
The T4 has become the most compact model in the Tenet lineup. It is based on the Chinese Chery Tiggo 4, adapted to Russian conditions. The car will be available with gasoline engines with capacity of 1.5 and 1.6 liters.
The brand has earlier unveiled the T7 crossover, which has received a price tag and will be available soon. Two more models – T8 and T9 – will complete the lineup in the future.
Full Cycle Manufacturing
The Tenet brand was launched by the joint efforts of the Russian holding company AGR and the Chinese company Defetoo. Production is organized at the former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga.
Before the launch of the full cycle, extensive engineering preparations were carried out:
- welding and painting shops were modernized,
- the assembly line has been improved,
- updated quality control systems.
To test the resistance of the coating, several dozens of bodies were produced. The cars were additionally treated against corrosion and prepared for operation in Russian climatic conditions.
