JAC will bring a business van of Toyota Alphard level to Russia
By ForGeeks JAC Motors is preparing to bring a large-sized premium van Refine RF8 to the Russian market. About it reports the portal “Avtostat” with reference to the Russian representative office of the company.
Refine RF8 is positioned as a competitor to Toyota Alphard in terms of its dimensions and format. The length of the car is 5215 mm, width – 1895 mm, and height – 1830 mm. The wheelbase reaches 3100 mm.
The cabin seats seven people: three rows of seats with a comfortable 2+2+3 seating arrangement. The second row is equipped with separate seats with individual adjustment – a classic solution for business vans.
In China, the model is available with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with an output of 224 hp, which is combined with an 8-speed automatic. A plug-in hybrid version is also available – with the option of charging the batteries from the mains.
There are preliminary reports that the Refine RF8 may be produced in Russia under the Sollers brand. Imported vehicle kits will be used for assembly. How exactly the positioning between the original RF8 and the Russian version from Sollers will be differentiated is not yet specified.
