Google Gemini has learned how to create full-fledged presentations

Google has improved its chatbot Gemini by integrating the ability to generate presentations. The feature is built into Gemini Canvas, an interactive workspace within the chatbot. To create a presentation, users can specify a topic or upload source material (document, spreadsheet, research paper), and Gemini will automatically generate slides with text, images and visualizations of the information.

In a situation where a specific source is not crucial, it is enough to simply formulate a topic, for example: “Prepare a presentation about solar energy”. If you want the artificial intelligence to be based on a specific material, you can attach a file in advance and then ask Gemini to prepare a presentation based on it. The generated slides will be designed in a consistent style with illustrations and a logical structure, and can be exported to Google Slides for further manual revision if needed.

The feature is aimed at students, teachers and office workers who often need to prepare presentation materials. Google says the new feature is already available for Gemini Pro subscribers, and users of the free version will have access to it within a few weeks. The update will be available in both personal and corporate Google Workspace accounts.

It’s worth noting that Gemini previously gained the ability to create interactive mini-books with stories, illustrations, and audio.
