Galaxy AI will appear on 400 million Samsung devices by the end of 2025

Samsung is scaling its artificial intelligence ambitions. At the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, the company announced plans to roll out Galaxy AI to 400 million devices by the end of 2025 – double the number from a year earlier. The revamped ecosystem will cover smartphones, tablets, wearable electronics, foldable devices, and XR gadgets.

An updated ecosystem will include smartphones, tablets, wearable electronics, foldable devices, and XR gadgets.

Galaxy AI expands to all device categories

Samsung MX President T.M. Roh confirmed that since Galaxy AI debuted on the Galaxy S24 series in January 2024, the system has already covered the Z Fold6, Z Flip6, S24 FE, Tab S10 and, most recently, the Galaxy S25 series and the new foldable Z Fold7/Flip7.

Galaxy AI will also appear on the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy S25 FE before the end of the year. Even mid-range smartphones – the Galaxy A35, A36, A55 and A56 – will get a lightweight version of the AI called Awesome Intelligence. It includes useful tools like real-time translation and intelligent content processing.

The release of trifold and XR devices with Galaxy AI has been confirmed

Samsung has officially confirmed plans to launch two new device categories at once by the end of 2025: the Galaxy G Fold tri-fold smartphone and the XR headset. Both gadgets will initially be integrated with Galaxy AI.

The AI feature set includes Selfie Studio, real-time Interpreter Mode, intelligent multitasking and personalized recommendations. All features are powered by One UI 8 and Android 16.

Free until the end of 2025 – what’s next?

Samsung emphasizes that all Galaxy AI features will remain free until the end of 2025. However, this wording hints at the possibility of introducing paid subscriptions for some advanced tools after the release of the Galaxy S26 series.

The expansion of Galaxy AI to 400 million devices is indicative of the company’s strategic direction: AI is becoming a key element of the entire product line, from phones to augmented reality headsets.
