Asus has revealed the prices and specifications of the ROG Xbox Ally handheld consoles

The Xbox portable gaming devices will be released on October 16. The company has now officially announced the price of the models. The ROG Xbox Ally will cost $599.99, while the more advanced ROG Xbox Ally X version will cost $999.99. Both devices are already available for pre-order through the Microsoft Store, the official Asus store, and a number of retail partners.

The base version gets an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, 16 gigabytes of LPDDR5-6400 RAM and a 512 gigabyte SSD. The Xbox Ally X version has an AMD Ryzen IA Z2 Extreme processor, 24 gigabytes of LPDDR5X-8000 RAM, 1 terabyte of storage, and a larger battery.
The two models feature a 7-inch IPS screen with 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and variable refresh rate support. Like previous ROG Ally series devices, they run on Windows, but thanks to a partnership with Xbox, they have a separate Xbox mode that lets you run games without fully booting the system, which should improve performance.
