Nubia prepares Z80 Ultra flagship with an under-screen camera and improved “ultrawide”

The release of nubia’s new flagship is imminent, and the company’s vice president has already started drumming up interest in the Z80 Ultra on Weibo, emphasizing the camera and display. Rumors from a Digital Chat Station insider have confirmed some of the claims.
Like its predecessor, the smartphone will get a completely frameless display with no cutout for the front camera — it will once again sit underneath the OLED panel, but engineers are promising a noticeable advancement in the technology.

The main camera will again be a 35mm focal length, and the major upgrade will be a new, larger sensor for the ultra-wide module, complete with an improved distortion correction algorithm.
The Nubia Z70 Ultra came out last November, so the Z80 Ultra is expected to premiere in at least a month.
