The M.Video-Eldorado Group has analyzed statistics on tablet sales in the Russian market in the first half of 2024 and revealed a noticeable increase in the popularity of this type of gadget. The analysts have named the exact figures and revealed the most popular tablets on the Russian market.
Preliminary data shows that in the first 6 months of 2024, tablet sales grew by 32% in monetary terms and 29% in quantitative terms compared to the same period last year. In total, Russians purchased 1.1 million tablets worth 23 billion rubles during the reporting period.
“Sales of tablets on the Russian market have been showing stable growth since the beginning of the year. Residents of our country are actively buying equipment from manufacturers well known in this segment. The main trend is to buy tablets with a keyboard or stylus. The top five brands by volume and value are Huawei, Honor, Samsung, Apple and Xiaomi, as well as Redmi. New device models are also having a positive impact on the market. This includes new products from Huawei, Honor, Samsung, Apple, and other manufacturers.
“The growth in tablet sales is due to the increased performance of these gadgets and their ability to solve a variety of tasks: for example, the devices can be used not only to view but also to create content, working with “heavy” photo and video editors. If we talk only about Russian brands, then in the first half of the year on the Russian market in monetary terms, sales of these tablets increased by 17% compared to the same period last year. In total, Russians bought domestic gadgets for a total of 1.28 billion rubles.
