Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi Pad SE with an 8,000 mAh battery

Welcome the Redmi Pad SE — the newest tablet of the Xiaomi sub-brand. The device enters the international market with a large screen for «exceptional visual enjoyment» and a price of just 199 euros.

The device is now available for purchase.

Redmi has equipped the tablet with a Snapdragon 680 chipset. It’s built using a 6nm process and comes with 128GB of storage; there’s a micro SD port for up to 1TB more. There’s a choice of three RAM options — 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB.

The screen is an 11-inch LCD with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. Redmi promises a brightness of 400 nits and a contrast ratio of 1500:1, and has even certified the panel to TUV Rheinland for low blue radiation.

The front panel has a rather thin bezel that hides the 5MP selfie camera located on the top side (when horizontal). The rear panel houses an 8MP camera with f/2.0 and 1080p video recording. The Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE features «large-sized quad-core speakers» and support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio, there’s even a 3.5mm audio jack.

There’s also a USB-C port for the 8,000mAh battery, which unfortunately only supports 10W charging. Other specs include Android 13 with MIUI Pad 14, a 478g body, dual-frequency Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0.

Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE is available in three colors — lavender purple, graphite gray and mint green. Prices are €199 for the 4GB storage model, €229 for the 6GB storage model and €249 for the 8GB storage variant.
