Samsung revealed the new Galaxy Tab S9 tablets at Unpacked 2023

Samsung Electronics announced the new Galaxy Tab S9 series, premium devices that are changing the way we think about tablets and setting a new level for creativity and entertainment. The Dynamic AMOLED 2x screens and high-performance Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Galaxy processors in the Galaxy Tab S9, S9+ and S9 Ultra make video viewing and interactive entertainment as immersive as possible, while the included IP68-compliant S Pen electronic pen helps you create and bring ideas to life. The tablet series is also IP68 rated, which means – the Galaxy Tab S series is the first waterproof tablet series.

A new level of premiumization in the Galaxy Tab S9

Gaming and watching videos on the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra with its 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen becomes especially impressive. The series is powered by HDR10+ technology, which optimizes color and brightness settings frame by frame based on content. The refresh rate of the Galaxy Tab S9 screens automatically adjusts between 60 and 120 Hz, combining smooth animations with low battery consumption. Eye Comfort technology reduces the intensity of blue color by more than 70% to lessen the user’s eye fatigue. Galaxy Tab S9 tablets retain sharp details when viewing photos, drawings, animations and other content, while the 16:10 aspect ratio lets you watch TV shows and movies in their original proportions.

The visual experience of the Galaxy Tab S9 is complemented by the impressive sound of four 20 percent larger speakers from AKG with Dolby Atmos technology. To maximize the sound potential, users can also optimize settings for gaming, music, video calling and other types of content. Availability of the Galaxy Tab S9

The Galaxy Tab S9 series devices are available for pre-order in select markets starting July 26, and globally starting August 11. 

The tablets come in beige and graphite colors and three sizes: Tab S9 Ultra with a 14.6-inch screen, Tab S9+ with a 12.4-inch screen, and Tab S9 with an 11-inch diagonal screen.
