Redmi Pad Pro 5G tablet found in Google Play console, launch is just around the corner

Earlier this month, Redmi unveiled the Redmi Pad Pro in China. Soon after its launch, there were reports of the device’s imminent release in many markets including India. Recently, the global version of the tablet was spotted on Google’s Play Console database. Now, its Indian and Latin American variants have also appeared on the Play Console, indicating that the tablet will be entering the global market.
So far, the Redmi Pad Pro has been launched in China.

The Play Console listings for the Indian and Latin American variants of the Redmi Pad Pro are shown above. The specifications mentioned in the listings are the same as the Chinese counterpart. Interestingly, the Indian version, which has model number 24074RD2I, has the marketing name Redmi Pad Pro 5G. This suggests that the device will support 5G connectivity.

And the Latin American version, which has model number 2405CRPFDL, does not have the word «5G» in its name. The Redmi Pad Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. However, the Chinese edition does not have a cellular variant. While it appears that China may get its 5G version in the future, what seems certain is that the Indian market will get a 5G version of the device.
And that’s not the case.
Redmi Pad Pro specifications
Redmi Pad Pro features a 12.1-inch IPS LCD panel with 2.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, the tablet is available in China with 6GB / 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB / 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It features a 10,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It has an 8-megapixel camera on the front and another 8-megapixel camera with LED flash on the back. It runs Android 14 based on HyperOS.
And it runs Android 14.
In addition, the Redmi Pad Pro is expected to be renamed as the Poco Pad tablet in the global market.
