Xiaomi 14 Pro
The14 Pro has ditched the curved edges of its predecessor and got a flat metal sidewall. The frame has a glossy mirror finish. The phone gets a symmetrical design and the two glass panels taper slightly at the very edge. The camera island sits on a metal bezel with a «Parisian nail» texture.

Xiaomi 14 Pro — a larger phone featuring a 6.73-inch LTPO OLED panel with a resolution of 1440×3200 pixels and a 12-bit 120Hz refresh rate, which is broadly the same as the 13 Pro. However, this panel has a brightness of up to 3,000 nits and is covered by Xiaomi Longjing Glass. The company also notes that the bezel around the display is now thinner.

The14 Pro will be available in black, white, green and an exclusive Titanium Special Edition variant. It features a matte side surface made of titanium alloy.

Xiaomi has ditched the 1-inch sensor in the 14 Pro and instead introduced a new sensor called «Light Nunter 900″ with a Leica Summilux lens. The sensor is a 50-MP 1/1.31» with a pixel size of 1.2 microns and a dynamic range of 13.5 EV. The special 23mm lens has a variable aperture, from f/1.42 at its widest position to f/4.0 when closed. The sensor is 44% smaller than the 1-inch sensor on last year’s 13 Pro, but the new lens is 80% lighter, so the overall aperture is virtually unchanged.

There’s also a 75mm f/2.0 telephoto camera, seemingly borrowed from last year’s Xiaomi 13 Pro and capable of shooting at a close range of 10cm. It captures 40MP regular photos and 50MP shots in portrait mode. The third camera — is a 50MP ultra-wide-angle 14mm camera with f/2.2 and macro capability at a distance of 5cm.

Xiaomi 14 Pro is powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, built on the 4nm process by TSMC. Paired with the SoC are 12 or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 256, 512 or 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The battery capacity is 4,880 mAh, with 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging supported.

Xiaomi 14 Pro is already available for pre-order in China in black, white or green and in 12/256GB, 16/512GB and 16GB/1TB variants. Prices are €650, €710 and €780 respectively.
Xiaomi 14
We move on to the Xiaomi 14 — a solid addition to the crowded compact flagship segment. It has a new symmetrical Pro design, though last year’s 13 already had a flat bezel and more angular corners.
The Xiaomi 14
The smartphone measures almost identical to its predecessor: 152.8mm long, 71.5mm wide and 8.20mm thick. The new phone comes in two finishes — a glass version weighing 193g and a lighter nano-leather model weighing 188g.

The display retains the 6.36-inch diagonal, but is otherwise a superior LTPO OLED panel with 1200×2670 px resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits of peak brightness.

The cameras on the younger 14 may seem identical to those on the 14 Pro, but there are differences. The 50MP main camera has the same 1/1.31″«Light Hunter» sensor with 1.2µm pixels, though the lens on top has a fixed 23mm f/1.6 aperture. The 75mm telephoto lens is identical, but the 50MP 14mm ultrawide seems to lack autofocus and, in turn, macro capability.

Xiaomi 14 gets the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with 8, 12 or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and the same choice of 256, 512 and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. A 4,610 mAh battery provides 90W of wired and 50W of wireless charging.
