Vivo Y29s 5G officially presented: specifications and features
By ForGeeks Vivo has expanded its Y29 series by introducing a new Y29s 5G model. The smartphone is an addition to the previously released Y29 (4G) and Y29 (5G) and has already appeared on the company’s global website with all the specifications.
Display and performance
Vivo Y29s 5G features a 6.74-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels, a refresh rate of 90Hz and a maximum brightness of 570 nits. The device is based on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset made on 6nm process technology.
The smartphone gets 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of onboard eMMC 5.1 storage, expandable via microSD card up to 2TB.
Cameras and software
The main camera includes a 50MP sensor and a 0.08MP secondary module, while the front camera for selfies and video calls is 5MP. The smartphone runs Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15 shell.
Battery and additional features
A 5500 mAh battery with support for 15-watt charging is responsible for battery life. There is a fingerprint scanner on the side of the device.
The connectivity options include two-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, and GPS. NFC won’t be available in all regions – it’s not available in Malaysia. The device is IP64 certified, which provides dust and splash protection, and also has SGS certifications and military impact protection.
The dimensions of the smartphone are 167.30 × 76.95 × 8.19 mm and the weight is 199 g.
Price and Affordability
The price of the Vivo Y29s 5G has not been revealed yet, but the smartphone will come in 8GB + 256GB configuration and in two colors: Titanium Gold and Jade Green. The price is expected to be announced soon.
