Vivo Watch 5 will get longer battery life and new health features

Vivo will unveil its new products on April 21, including the flagship X200 Ultra smartphone, the X200s model, the Pad 5 Pro tablet and the Watch 5 smartwatch. A few days before the event, the company shared the key improvements expected for the Vivo Watch 5 over its predecessor, the Watch 3.

Extended battery life

One of the major updates was an increase in battery life. The Watch 5 is rated for 22 days of battery life – six days more than the Watch 3. That’s thanks to a switch from Wear OS to Vivo’s own operating system called Blue River. The new platform consumes less power, allowing the watch to last longer.

Features for health monitoring

Vivo is emphasizing health and offering new features. Watch 5 will be able to do a quick arrhythmia risk assessment in just 30 seconds, as well as track other cardiac indicators. In addition, the watch will support blood pressure monitoring, making it more useful for everyday health monitoring.
