The brand Tecno announced the start of sales of a new series of basic smartphones Spark 40. The lineup includes five models: Spark 40 Pro+, Spark 40 Pro, Spark 40, Spark 40C and Spark Go 2. The devices feature a modern design, advanced camera capabilities, artificial intelligence support and wireless charging. For the first time in the lineup, the Spark 40 Pro+ is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G200 chip.
Ultra-slim body and emphasis on materials
The Spark 40 smartphones come in a compact and slim body. The Spark 40 Pro+ measures 6.49mm thick at 160 grams and is offered in an exclusive “Tundra Green” color with an eco-leather back panel. The camera unit is designed as a solid aluminum plate. The body of the other models is made of matte composite plastic with a metallic texture.
AMOLED screens up to 144Hz and Dolby Atmos in older versions
The Spark 40 Pro+ and Spark 40 Pro models feature 6.78-inch AMOLED displays with up to 144Hz and peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. An optional Tecno T1 chip boosts the resolution to 1.5K (1224×2720 pixels). The more affordable Spark 40 and Spark 40C pack 6.67-inch IPS screens at 120Hz. All devices have stereo speakers, and the older models support Dolby Atmos.
Performance, memory and connectivity
The smartphone series is powered by MediaTek processors: the Helio G200 in the Spark 40 Pro+, Helio G100 Ultimate in the Spark 40 Pro, Helio G91 and G81 in the younger models. RAM comes up to 8GB with expandable RAM up to 16GB or 24GB. The built-in memory is up to 256GB. Support for DCSAR technology is also claimed to improve connectivity in weak signal areas.
Autonomy and wireless charging
The Spark 40 Pro+, Spark 40 Pro, and Spark 40 get a 5200 mAh battery and 45W charging. The Spark 40C has a 6,000 mAh battery. Reversible 10W wired charging is available in all models except the Go 2. The Pro+ version has 30W wireless charging and 5W reverse charging. The manufacturer claims to retain more than 80 percent of battery capacity after 2,000 charge cycles, and the devices are backed by a 5-year warranty.
Artificial intelligence and camera features
All smartphones run Android 15 with HiOS 15.1 shell and Ella voice assistant. AI wallpaper generation, text summarization, and smart object removal from photos are supported, as well as IR tech control and FreeLink for stable communication between Tecno devices.

Spark 40 and older models feature 50MP main cameras with sensors from Hynix and Samsung and FlashSnap, an intelligent shooting feature that automatically selects the best shot.
