Nubia Z80 Ultra hits the global market

Nubia has launched global sales of the Z80 Ultra smartphone, a month after its debut in China.
Buyers who pre-order before November 18 will get the original charger and protective case for free. Optional accessories include the Z80 Ultra Retro Kit with camera kit for £109/€149/$149 and the GamePad 2 gamepad for £69/€99/$99.
The smartphone features a 6.85-inch AMOLED display with eighth-generation under-screen camera technology. It offers a fully frameless screen with no cutouts or holes, 1.5K resolution, brightness up to 2,000 nits and a 144Hz refresh rate. AI EyeCare automatically adjusts brightness and color temperature for comfortable use at any time of day.
The main camera has two main lenses: a 35mm prime lens and an 18mm ultra-wide-angle macro lens. The 990’s Light & Shadow Master 990 sensor, adjustable aperture and optical stabilization ensure crisp, rich images with a zoom range of 18mm to 85mm.

The Z80 Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and features LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage. A 35% larger vapor chamber cooling system helps maintain consistent performance. The RedMagic Gaming Engine reduces latency, stabilizes frame rates and offers a dedicated Gamespace gaming mode.
The 7200mAh battery supports 80W wired and wireless charging when using Nubia’s proprietary adapter. The case is made with liquid metal, and the 3D Cryo-Steel VC cooling system efficiently dissipates heat. An optional Retro Kit 2.0 with textured overlay, lens hood, and strap is also available.
The smartphone runs the MyOS shell with Gemini AI. It supports Circle to Search, Gemini Voice Assistant, and AI Photo Editing.
Additional features include IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, DTS Duo Box stereo speakers, support for a magnetic NFC case, and a physical two-level button that can be used for camera or gaming.
