HTC may start getting attention again with the new Wildfire series models

HTC, once one of the biggest Android pioneers, seems to be getting back in the game in the smartphone market. Several new Wildfire series devices have been spotted at the GITEX 2025 technology show in Dubai.

The most notable device is a brightly colored “gaming” smartphone with red accents and an angular, performance-oriented design. According to @hkyamane, it’s powered by the Unisoc T765 chipset, an eight-core processor made with 6nm technology. The battery capacity is an impressive 5,600 mAh.

Technical specifications

  • Cameras: A 50-megapixel main sensor and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera are decent numbers for an entry-level device.
  • Screen: Exact display details have not yet been announced, but given the gaming bias, an IPS panel with a 120Hz refresh rate is likely.

The device is expected to go on sale by late fall. The Wildfire lineup, as before, is aimed at emerging markets – both early 2010s and current models released in 2019. Pricing promises to remain competitive, but final figures have yet to be announced.
