Honor officially unveiled MagicOS 9.0, its updated version of Android 15, and released a detailed update plan for devices that will receive the new OS in the coming months.
Main features of MagicOS 9.0
MagicOS 9.0 offers a number of innovations for Honor smartphone users, especially in the area of artificial intelligence. One of the major updates is the YOYO Agent AI assistant, a new AI model that can execute complex commands. YOYO Agent learns the user’s habits, controlling apps and system settings without the need for manual command input. For example, the assistant remembers drink preferences and can order them with a single command. Other features include price comparison and autofill forms, as well as recommendations based on online activity.
Another innovation is the Anydoor feature, which lets you highlight content for more information, such as food or entertainment. There’s also a Smart Capsule feature that displays important notifications in real time (weather, appointments), including face-swap protection on videos to help recognize fraudulent AI videos.
In photography, Honor has improved its AI Magic Photo Editor, adding new tools to remove unwanted objects, restore old photos and enhance images with AI-powered filters.
To improve performance, MagicOS 9.0 includes the updated Turbo X system with the Vulkan graphics engine, which delivers 40 percent faster rendering and 11 percent lower power consumption. The Predictive Scheduling Engine also keeps things running smoothly even under heavy load, achieving nearly 120 FPS without jerking.
