Google has revealed the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel Watch 2 in new teaser videos

Late last month, Google responded to Apple’s announcement of a Sept. 12 event by saying that the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro would be officially unveiled on Oct. 4. It’s been a little over a week since then, and already it seems like the company is having a hard time containing its excitement about the upcoming event.

Today, the company released two teaser videos. The first one is —more proper, showing off products like the Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel 8 Pro very quickly.

That wasn’t enough, however, and about an hour later Google published the following «teaser» video, which you might not call a teaser. It’s a near-complete product introduction in 23 seconds.

The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro keep the same design language as their predecessors, with various small improvements. For example, the Pro is rumored to be adding an infrared thermometer on the back for some reason (that’s the spot below the LED flash circle, in case you were wondering).

If we go back to the Pixel Watch 2 in the first video, there’s a sense of deja vu — didn’t the original Pixel Watch look exactly the same? We hope the improvements in this model lie in the hardware — and let’s face it, we meant «battery life».
