Galaxy S24 has received the One UI 8 Beta 2 update with a new Galaxy AI feature

Samsung has released the second beta version of the One UI 8 shell for the Galaxy S24 series. The update is available in the UK and brings the Galaxy AI Now Brief feature, which was first introduced in the Galaxy S25.

What’s new in One UI 8 Beta 2

The update with firmware number S928BXXU4ZYHB weighs about 930MB and includes the September 2025 security patch. It makes smartphones more secure and fixes a number of bugs.

The main new feature is Galaxy AI Now Brief. The feature shows the user relevant information throughout the day:

  • next events from the calendar,
  • Spotify and YouTube Music playlists,
  • YouTube video recommendations,
  • Samsung Health statistics,
  • weather notifications and more.

So the Galaxy S24 gets AI capabilities previously exclusive to the Galaxy S25 series.

Fixes and improvements

  • overlapping charging indicator and fingerprint scanner on the lock screen;
  • no text in notifications on the lock screen;
  • logo cropping in Naver Sports Top Now;
  • reset keyboard phrase recommendations after reboot;
  • return the default font after changing it;
  • screen freezes and return to lock when applications are running;
  • incorrect time display in the clock widget.

How to install the update

Users registered with the One UI 8 Beta program can download the firmware manually:Settings → Software Update → Download and Install.After downloading, simply click “Install Now” and wait for the device to reboot.
