The Galaxy A24 has received the One UI 7.0 update to Android 15
By ForGeeks Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 7.0 firmware update for the Galaxy A24 smartphone. The update is the second major Android update for the device, having been introduced for the first time in 2023.
The firmware is already available for download in South Korea. Users in other countries are expected to receive the update in the coming days. One UI 7.0 brings dozens of new features, improved UI smoothness and a refreshed design to the budget segment.

The One UI 7.0 update, based on Android 15, is rolling out for the Galaxy A24 under build number A245NKSU6DYE6. The firmware is about 3GB in size. Apart from the major new features, the update includes a security patch for May 2025. However, some users were expecting a more current update for June 2025 to be included.
To install the update, Galaxy A24 owners in South Korea need to go to Settings → Software Update → Download and Install. Once downloaded, you need to tap “Install Now” and the device will reboot to complete the process.

The update can be installed manually via Odin
An alternative installation method is to download the firmware from the SamMobile database and manually update it via the Odin utility. You will need a Windows PC, a compatible USB cable, and a backup copy of your data, as the flashing process may result in data loss.
The Galaxy A24 initially shipped with Android 13 and One UI 5.1. Samsung has guaranteed four major Android updates. The first, Android 14 (One UI 6.0), became available in late 2023. Android 15 (One UI 7.0) was the second update, and Android 16 (One UI 8.0) and Android 17 (One UI 9.0) are expected to be released in 2025 and 2026, respectively.
And Android 16 (One UI 8.0) and Android 17 (One UI 9.0) are expected in the future.
