The budget Intel Core Ultra 3 205 showed a significant improvement over its predecessor

Intel has unveiled its new Core Ultra 3 205 desktop processor without an advertising campaign. And now, the first test results are appearing online, showing that it demonstrates quite decent performance in its price niche.

This eight-core processor was tested with a motherboard based on the H810MK chipset and 8GB of RAM. In Geekbench 6, it scored 2,664 in the single-core test and 9,935 in the multi-core test. This beats the Core i3-14100F’s results by 11% and 23% respectively.
The closest competitor to AMD’s Ryzen 5 5600X3D (2085/9380 points), which has a significantly higher recommended price of $229 (RUB 18,400).
Amdm’s Ryzen 5 5600X3D (2085/9380 points) is the closest in terms of performance.

It’s worth noting that the Intel Core Ultra 3 205 operates at up to 4.9GHz, has a TDP of 57W and features 15MB of Smart Cache. It can be purchased in France for 155 euros (14 580 rubles).
