Nintendo has added two more classic Zelda games to Switch. The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons are now available in the Game Boy library on Switch Online. Both games were released for the Game Boy Color on the same day in 2001 and were developed by Flagship, a subsidiary of Capcom.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons are now available on Switch Online.

The two top-down games, like other early Zelda games such as A Link to the Past and Link’s Awakening, have completely separate storylines but are linked by an ending. The action of Oracle of Ages takes place in the land of Labrynn, and Link must battle Veran, an evil shadow sorceress. The action of Oracle of Seasons takes place in another world — Holodrum, and Link is trying to save the oracle Dean from the ruthless General Onox.

The Oracle of Seasons is set in the land of Labrynn, and Link is trying to save the oracle Dean from the ruthless General Onox.

After completing one of the games, players will receive a password that can be entered in another game. In this way, the second game becomes a continuation of the story (rather than a separate adventure), and an additional dungeon is unlocked at the end where the true ending can be revealed.

The addition of both games brings the total number of Game Boy and Game Boy Color games on the service to 15. The full list is as follows:

  • Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare (GBC)
  • Blaster Master: Enemy Below (GBC)
  • BurgerTime Deluxe (GB)
  • Game & Watch Gallery 3 (GBC)
  • Gargoyle’s Quest (GB)
  • The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX (GBC)
  • The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (GBC)
  • The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (GBC)
  • Metroid II: Return of Samus (GB)
