Sony announces PlayStation Plus multiplayer weekend

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced plans for free PlayStation Plus online multiplayer weekends this month. Multiplayer modes for PS4 and PS5 games will be available without a PlayStation Plus subscription from June 24-25.

Players wishing to participate will need a PlayStation Network account. Sony announced today that it is currently testing cloud streaming for PS5 games — a feature that will later be offered to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers.

It will include PS5 games from the PlayStation Plus game catalog and trial games, as well as supported PS5 digital games that players own.
