Games without installing or waiting

Samsung is offering 23 games at launch, including popular free-to-play projects like Candy Crush Saga, Honor of Kings and Monopoly Go. The service is free and supports games in Android APK format, as well as built-in monetization models.

One of the key features of the new service is the ability to play games instantly. Users in North America can click on an ad for an Android game and immediately start playing through the Galaxy Store. The process doesn’t require downloading, installing the app or creating an account, making access to games much quicker.

All compatible games can be launched via links in the Galaxy Store, Samsung Gaming Hub or ads. According to Samsung, during the beta period, half of users who clicked on an ad started playing the suggested game. That’s 10 times the industry average.

Improve the effectiveness of ad campaigns

“Our cloud gaming platform enables publishers to significantly increase conversion rates within user campaigns by eliminating the need to redirect players to the app store to download and install games,” said Jong Woo, vice president and head of Samsung’s gaming division.

Beta Testing Success

The number of active users of Samsung’s cloud gaming service grew 149% year-on-year during the testing period in the U.S. and Canada. This growth indicates a high level of interest in the new technology.
