Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch

Red Dead Redemption 2 for Nintendo Switch has been spotted on a Brazilian rating agency’s website. According to a Twitter user, an unannounced version of Rockstar’s game for Switch is listed alongside the available versions of the game.
It’s still unclear exactly when the announcement of the Switch version appeared on the ratings board’s website, however. The game was originally classified by the commission in September 2018 ahead of its release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One the following month.
According to the commission, the game will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next month.
Red Dead Redemption 2 was also set for PC and the now-defunct Stadia console in 2019. Last month, Rockstar owner Take-Two said Red Dead Redemption 2 has sold more than 55 million copies.

According to research firm Circana (formerly NPD Group), it has become the second best-selling game in the U.S. over the past five years based on dollar sales. Given that the open-world game will place heavy demands on the Switch’s outdated hardware, Red Dead Redemption 2’s potential release for Nintendo’s console will likely come in the form of a cloud-based version that uses streaming technology to play from a server.
