PC version of “The Witcher 3” launched on Nubia Z50 via emulator

Russian YouTube channel creator Mark Korolev managed to run the famous game “The Witcher 3” on a Nubia Z50 smartphone equipped with 12GB of RAM and a flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The game was quite stable, with crisp sound and full picture rendering.
Despite the powerful hardware, however, the device’s performance still wasn’t enough to deliver 24-30 frames per second gameplay.
The problem here isn’t so much a hardware limitation as a software one. The TERMUX-BOX & WINLATOR 2.0 environment used to run the game, which emulates the environment needed to run the game, takes up a significant amount of computing resources.
So, as the experiment progressed, the game only produced 13-17 FPS. Sometimes it would drop down to 8 FPS. Nevertheless, even under such conditions, the gamer was able to explore several locations and fight with opponents.
Mark Korolev has run games on an Android smartphone before. In mid-October, he tested Mortal Kombat XL and God of War (2018). Before that, he also showed how Grand Theft Auto 5 and The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim run on the device.
