Panic has announced Thank Goodness You’re Here, a comedy slapformer set in the fictional northern English town of Barnsworth. The game, created by two-man Coal Supper team —longtime friends Will Todd and James Carbutt, —is «a delightfully surreal homage»to their northern hometown.

The game is a slapstick comedy slapfest that will be a delightfully surreal tribute to »their northern hometown.

«Arriving early for an important meeting with the mayor of a quaint northern English town, the traveling salesman takes his time looking around and getting to know the locals, who eagerly give him a series of increasingly bizarre tasks» — says the game’s description. Thank Goodness You’re Here — is a comedic slapformer game whose action unfolds over time as players explore the quirky town of Barnsworth and perform antics.

The game is a comedic slapstick game.

With each completed mission, new areas of the city open up, more bizarre tasks become available, and time ticks down to an important meeting with a salesman. The colorful residents of the city come to life through vivid hand-drawn animation, fully voiced dialog, and double meanings.

Cal Supper previously released free-to-play Steam game The Good Time Garden in 2019, before turning to Panic to introduce a second game. The game will be released on Switch, PS5, and PC in 2024.
