Microsoft has fixed matchmaking for the 16-year-old Shadowrun game

Microsoft appears to have fixed the server situation for the 2007 Xbox 360 game Shadowrun. The game, whose servers were never officially shut down, appears to have been taken offline thanks to a fix on Xbox Live that fixed a glitch in older Call of Duty games.

The game’s servers were never officially shut down.

After that, matchmaking for the game stopped working. This led some members of the Shadowrun discord to contact Microsoft, which appears to have fixed the problem. The game, which came out in 2007, recently spawned a discord community of more than 2,000 members in hopes of resurrecting the early FPS for the Xbox 360.

Accordingly, Shadowrun is a game that was released in 2007.

Shadowrun — is an FPS developed by FASA Interactive and published by Microsoft Game Studios. The game received average reviews when it was released in 2007, with the Xbox 360 version scoring 66/100 on review aggregator Metacritic.

It’s not yet clear what exactly has been fixed on Xbox Live to improve support for backwards-compatible Call of Duty games, but older COD games have serious hacking and lobby issues that can cause an account to be locked out of Xbox Live.

In the run-up to the game’s addition to the backwards compatibility program, there was speculation that measures had been taken to prevent players from getting into such lobbies, but it’s not known if this was actually the case.
