Ghost of Tsushima is PlayStation’s fourth biggest launch on Steam

Ghost of Tsushima was the fourth biggest launch on Steam for PlayStation games, in terms of concurrent players. According to SteamDB, the game has attracted 59,244 concurrent players since its release Thursday.

This figure is higher for only three games released by Sony, two of which were developed by its internal studios. Helldivers 2, developed by third-party studio Arrowhead, leads with 458,709 concurrent online play, ahead of God of War with 73,529 and Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered with 66,436.

The peak player count for Ghost of Tsushima, which could still grow by the weekend, is already ahead of the numbers set by games like Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition and The Last of Us Part I.

The PC version of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut , which is also available on the Epic Games Store, was developed by Nixxes in collaboration with original creator Sucker Punch Productions.

The game has been well received by players on Steam, with 85% of the 4,573 reviews being positive at the time of publication.
