Bethesda has detailed the first Starfield update and announced plans to release new features in future patches. The first update includes performance and stability improvements, as well as fixes to several quests.

After that, Bethesda plans to release regular updates featuring «the community’s most requested features» including:
- Brightness and contrast controls
- HDR calibration menu
- FOV slider
- Nvidia DLSS support (PC)
- Support for 32:9 ultra-wide monitors (PC)
- Eat button for eating

«We are also working closely with Nvidia, AMD and Intel on driver support, and each update will include new stability and performance improvements», —Bethesda said. «In addition, we are working on native support for mods (Creations) that will work across all platforms, similar to what was done in Skyrim and Fallout 4.
