Sony has introduced the 98-inch BRAVIA FW-98BZ30L professional display

Sony continues to expand its lineup of BRAVIA professional displays with the introduction of a new flagship model, the FW-98BZ30L. It’s a huge 98-inch 4K HDR display aimed not at home use, but at commercial and corporate spaces.
Besides the 98-inch model, the BZ30L series includes smaller variants: 43″, 50″, 55″, 65″, 75″ и 85″. However, it is the 98-inch version that has become the brand’s most interesting new product in this segment.
The FW-98BZ30L features a 4K HDR panel with a peak brightness of 440 nits and a contrast ratio of 5000:1. The display supports HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision. For image processing is responsible for Sony’s proprietary processor Cognitive Processor XR in conjunction with XR Triluminos Pro technology, which provides realistic color reproduction and coverage of up to 95% of the DCI-P3 color space. It also features XR Motion Clarity and XR 4K upscaling for a sharper, smoother picture.

The model supports vertical and tilt mounts, offers wide viewing angles (up to 178°), and is 22% lighter and 28% thinner than the previous generation.
The FW-98BZ30L runs Android TV, has 32GB of built-in storage, and supports AirPlay, Google Chromecast, and the ability to play HTML5 content without external players.
A special Pro Mode is available for the corporate segment – it disables remote control access, hides interfaces and locks settings for use in public places or closed institutions.
The connector set includes four HDMI inputs with HDMI-CEC support, side-mounted ports for convenience, IP control support, RS-232C compatibility, and additional security features such as button lock, remote disable, and USB copying.

Sony also emphasizes the display’s eco-friendliness. The design uses recycled SORPLAS plastic, the packaging is smaller and lighter, ink usage has been reduced, and the model is EPEAT Bronze certified in 23 countries. An ECO Dashboard feature is also available to track energy consumption.
The Sony BRAVIA FW-98BZ30L will be priced at Rs. 15,00,000 in India. Sales will start from April 15, 2025 through the company’s official distributors. The warranty is 3 years, renewable depending on business needs.
It’s definitely not an inexpensive model, but if you’re creating a space with high visual impact – whether it’s a boardroom, trade show, or premium showcase – this display is worth considering.
