By ForGeeks Xiaomi has unveiled a portable laser engraving device — Xiaomi Mijia, which has been designed specifically for home use. The novelty allows you to send images to print using your smartphone and is easy to use, just like a regular printer.
Xiaomi Mijia is based on a 3-watt laser with a wavelength of 450nm and can work with a variety of materials including leather, wood, plastic and others. Thanks to its innovative “dual focus” system, the lines created are only 0.25mm thick, allowing you to print highly detailed and precise patterns.
The Mijia Mijia is also capable of printing highly detailed and precise designs.
A significant feature of this machine is that the laser itself detects the distance to the object and automatically compensates for any focusing issues by adjusting the height of the foot. The company also emphasizes that this machine does not require any consumables to operate, only electricity. Sending images or photos for printing is done through the Mijia app.
